Well, it sure has been awhile since my last update. I've been busy as hell working on getting my new Linux Box to work. Success at last! Not only that, but you can now browse to The Family Disease WWW... Admittedly, there's no content, but there will be soon. I also own www.unholyghost.com but am trying to sell it.

Now, the problem is, I need a more family friendly name besides "The Family Disease". :-) My mother has clearly stated that she doesn't like that name, so in order to make my family album online, I need something a bit more PC. I've been thinking that www.quentinbaker.com would work out nicely. It's direct and to the point, and allows me to be completely egotistical on it as well! Can't beat that with a spatula!

Ugh. Programming is much more complicated these days. I remember when all you needed to do any coding was a text editor and a compiler. Windows programming is just plain bulky! I can barely get started with Visual C++. I'm probably going to have to spend another $50 to get a book that's a little bit less encyclopediac. I mean, I need a solid reference source, but something that's a bit more oriented to learning the Windows programming environment.

Because of this, Bellicose will take considerably longer to produce. I'd like to just create a MUD version if possible. It's hard for me to imagine an engine that can render a fully 3D world (the sizes of which exceeding miles) while maintaining the detail of the indoor confined ones. Dunno. The Tribes engine does indoors and outdoors fairly nicely. Dunno.
