Switched Servers
Well, as you can probably see by now, I've moved the journal from the OnetNet servers to my own personal server. Joyous rapture, ra ra ra.
Anyway, contrary to my previous post, I have gotten back into programming. Rather by surprise actually. I stopped into Barnes & Noble and bought Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 6. Probably the best book I've ever read in regards to punching through the 32bit barrier that seems to be holding my programming skills at the Turbo Pascal 16bit level. In other words, I'm learning Visual C++ now.
As a side note, I finally got a home theater solution: receiver, four speakers and a center (subwoofer will arrive in two weeks). So, life is great there. And finally, what makes life absolutely grand, my plane leaves in 3 weeks to go to Los Angeles to see the E3 show. ![]()
I've been thinking more and more about Bellicose, and I'm determined to get it done. Something that would serve as a great inspiration and model for this game would be the movie Starship Troopers. That movie strongly illustrates distinct and important roles for each person in the war. That's what I'd like to have conveyed in Bellicose. Each person should have their own roles and tasks in the world of Bellicose. I'll post more in the Bellicose thread.
Welcome to the QDP!
