I've actually had QuentinBaker.com for a good deal of time now, using it for testing and whatnot, but the recent acquisition of the server it's on was enough of a push for me to start transferring everything to it. The Photo Album has been here for a while, so now I've gotten the rest of the stuff. If something's broken, let me know, I'll fix.

Yes, you should update your bookmarks. Now.

Yesterday I attended my first meeting at the CPC. I'll have one more tonight, then another tomorrow, then about four more throughout the month. I'll receive my Producer's License tonight, and that makes me happy. Last night was the first airing of The Sci-Fi Guys, Episode V: The Sci-Fi Guys Strike Back. I didn't get to see it because I don't have cable, but that's okay because having editing the episode I've seen it more times than I can count. If you missed it, it'll be on again every week on Tuesdays at 11PM and Thursdays at 5PM in Boone and Kenton counties, cable channel 21.

This has been one hellaciously rocky weekend. That's all I'm really going to say about it. Regardless, Vickie and I are hoping to break out of our isolationism and get together with some friends this weekend, so if anyone's got any ideas for something inexpensive (cause, we're like poor and shit) let us know!

I'm going to get back to work patching together this server and making it play nice with all the files I've dumped on it. Keep your eyes out for anything that's acting 'wonky'.

I'm commenting on my own post - that's terrible...

or am I just testing to make sure that comments work?

YOU BE THE JUDGE!

You might want to strip slashes from the comments.
If I had cable I'd check the show out, but I have Dish.

Yeah, I've noticed that the slashes aren't being stripped - which is odd because I haven't modified the code. (Probably just a change in the magic quotes setup of the new server.)

It's okay though, I'll be upgrading to a new version of WordPress as soon as I can re-learn how I hacked the categories treatment. Very Happy

Quentin, I noticed the header on your page is overlapping the picture with the text.

Quentin's picture

Yeah, you'll notice alot of things are fuggered for a bit.

Very Happy

I was pretty much DONE with getting the styles and decorations set up, and I was exporting them to the older themes that I had (the Mayor theme, Bristow, etc.) when I copied the wrong file and lost all my work - so fuck it says I, I'm'a get a new theme.

God I forgot what a hassle this shit was. There's a reason my website hasn't changed styles in a long time.

Hey sweetie, actually this weekend is a no-go for us. I must not have told you, but my social calendar for once is actually filled! Wink Friday night is free, but Saturday I have Ruth's bachelorette party, and on Sunday you and I are driving on up to Ohio to wish Jen's baby Joey a happy 1st year. Surprise! We have plans! Hugs and kisses!

Okay! I think I've finally gotten things they way I like 'em. (Carefully makes sure he doesn't delete hours of work!)

Honey, I'm happy to see you kept the Chesshire cat in the picture above!

Hey Scooter, things look really sweet.

What would say if I told you that there is a movie/miniseries that I desperately wanted to copy to dvd.

I have a DVD burner in my PC but I don't know what I need to do to burn a DVD that can be played by the dvd player hooked up to the TV.
Advice appreciated.

This is of course only concerning DVD's I already own, and I just want to make back up copies since the kids get ahold of the DVD's and scratch the hell out of them.
It is starting to cost me money. At least one in three of the DVD's we have purchased for the kids is unreadable by the dvd player right now due to scratches in the surface.

Also I think the Sci-fi guys logo graphic needs to be worked on.
It's a tad hideous to look at.
Just opinion.
