The nasty has landed. Last week we were out for White Death™ and now it's happened again. Everything is covered in ice. Right now the weather is above freezing, which leaves it feeling all Slushy and Slurpee outside (or whatever your favorite convenient store drink may be). Tonight, when all of this freezes, there will be reckoning. And wreckening. Luckily I'm off tomorrow, but Vic isn't so lucky.

Yeah yeah, I haven't updated since the wedding, and that wasn't much of an update. Look, how many times do we have to go over this? I'm busy. Seriously. I don't have much more than a couple hours of free time on the computer each week anymore, and that time is used now putting together the wedding DVD.

This DVD is going to be something special. As I'm sure those of you could expect from what we did for just the invitation, I'm going whole hog on this one. Gonna take me many moons.

Last night I felt pain that I've never experienced in my life, and pray most deeply that I can avoid feeling ever again. It's as though my body is producing an acid, a horrible flesh-disolving acid, and I can only weather its assaults. So, physically things aren't exactly honkey-dory. Emotionally is another story - my emotions aren't so much filled with acids as they are crushed and pulped and mashed, not unlike wine grapes. Still, I persevere.

God damn I hate being sick. Oh dear, look what I've done. I've gone and blasphemed right off the bat. The first words of this entry violates one of the ten commandments, the very foundation of our system of laws. Surely this does not bode well.

When I get sick, I mostly suffer from the cough, and it lasts for DAYS and DAYS and a couple weeks to boot. I'm still sick. But "I've recently made a deal that will keep the Empire out of here forever." Details to come soon.

Seriously, I'm just not in the mood to squeeze in an update here. I will say quickly the following things.

Harry Potter Book VI was awesome. If you haven't read it and want to avoid spoilers, don't read this paragraph. Seriously, I can't stand unannounced spoilers, so this is your warning. Snape? He's a good guy, doing things he doesn't want to do. He's under orders, but it ain't Voldemort's orders that lead the to 'big surprise'. I'm happy to expand on my theories in a conversation, but I'm just not in the mood to type about it now.

Friday after work was full of "the busy", as it is known. Shortly after getting home, Vickie took off for a meeting in her book club. I spent time burning a great many files to a DVD for Chris Woodall who would be showing up for a bit of collaborative work. Chris and I went over our ideas on the projects we work on, those being Sci-Fi Guys and Project Codename: Hello World, aka Fear My Codename. Ahem. So, Vickie comes home and we're off. Where are we off to?

So I wanted to leave the news that I'm engaged as the main news for a while... sheesh, you'd think I was holding kittens hostage. No, the fact is that I've been both busy and lazy, which is an amazing piece of hypocrisy that I suggest you all try out some time.

QDP DVD Projects

Okay, so it's been a long time since I've updated. Many, many things have been going on. Firstly, you should know that the plans for getting a new home have been put on hold until our credit clears up - that or until someone wants to buy us a house. We certainly don't have enough credit to pull it off ourselves.
